Busy Week~

I missed my goal of updating once a week. It has been a crazy time! On the 23rd, Lindsay called me at work and said Bryell was very unhappy. She was the same on the 24th and 25th when I was home with her. She woke up EVERY 45 MINUTES on the 25th. I just assumed teething. Well, on Friday, the 26th, we played Mountain View at Mountain View. I went to pick Bryell up after school and head over to the games. When I got to Lindsay's, she told me that Bryell had a rough day again and that she was pretty sure something was wrong with her. I said I was probably going to take her in to the doctor the next day if we had a night like we had that Thursday. As we are driving to the games, something kept nagging at me to take her in right then. I took her to public health and asked what they thought- if I should take her to the doctor or not. They said yes. I ran over to the clinic here at 4:30. They were super nice and fit us in. The doctor told me Bryell had quite the ear infection in both ears and gave her medicine. Instead of going to the games, we went home and cuddled. I felt awful, I'm pretty sure she had that ear infection for a few days before I took her in. Next time, I will act a little bit quicker. Bryell is such a happy baby, I should have known better.
On Sunday, the 28th, I went to Casper for the school improvement conference. Those trips are always fun to get to know the teachers in other buildings, the teachers in my building a bit better, and the administrators. I got back Tuesday evening. Wednesday I spent trying to catch up with my college class work. Thursday was regionals. My parents came up for the weekend. It was so nice to have them here. I am pretty homesick and having them here helps with that a little bit. My mom stayed home from the game Thursday and watched Bryell- the game was at 7 and the boys followed so it was a bit late for her. I think Bryell enjoyed Grandma time. They read lots of books together and it was pretty cute, after my mom left Bryell was still going to the books they read together, almost like she remembered. My parents, Bryell, and I spent most of Friday at the house. It started to snow outside so it was nice to just relax at home. They left Saturday afternoon.
The girls did not make it to state- they played really well, just couldn't finish it. I know the coaches were proud though, they played their hearts out. It was close to the best I have seen them play this year. But not making it to state means that basketball season is over and Jeffrey will be home lots more, so it is bittersweet.

Happy 10 Months!

Today marks Bryell's 10 month birthday. I can't believe all the time that has gone by. It has flown by!! She is slowly starting to learn how to pull herself up to a standing position. She crawls everywhere and is so adventurous. She is starting to copy everything we do. The other day Jeffrey was feeding her and the food was a bit too hot so he was blowing on it before he fed it to her. Bryell copied and started to blow too- unfortunately it was with food in her mouth! :) She is starting to make 'sssss' sounds as she crawls around. She has discovered that she can carry things around while crawling if she puts it in her mouth! Jeff is working on throwing balls with her. I haven't decided if this is good or bad1 :) She definitely knows how to throw things now!

Her 10 month stats are 28" long and 17 pounds.

Relaxing Sunday

This weekend we had games both Friday and Saturday. Saturday was senior day and it was pretty sad. I think next year will be the worst because they will be the girls Jeff has pretty much followed up and the girls I know the best. This year we have Nelle and Stormy, two extremely sweet girls who I know will be missed next year. One more regular season game, then regionals!

Saturday we went out to dinner with the head coach, his wife, the other assistant coach and her daughter. It was nice to get out. Bryell went and stayed at Toomer's and had a blast. When we went to pick her up we stayed another couple hours just hanging out. It was so fun to just relax and to relax with friends! It was so fun to watch Bryell with Tiff and Travis. She is starting to get quick with crawling and they were chasing her around the living room!

Sunday we laid low all day. We watched all of our netflix movies and caught up on what we had recorded on our DVR. I love days like that!

Trip to Salt Lake City

We had today off so Jeffrey and I took advantage of it and took a trip to Salt Lake City. Bryell stayed home and Allie came to watch her. It made our trip a bit faster! We did our Valentine's Day celebration. We went out to a nice dinner. It was a quick trip so the dinner was quick-but it was really nice!

Bryell was playing with her play table the other day. It has a phone on there that if you push buttons it makes loud noises. Bryell pushed one of the buttons and immediately scooted back and covered her ear. It was pretty cute. I think she knew we were laughing at that because she did it a few more times. Its so fun to watch her grow and develop and become so smart! She took her comb through her hair and continues to put the phones up to her ear. I love it!

Movin' on Down!

This week the basketball team went to Powell and Cody and so did Bryell and I. We went with Gwen and Travis and the trip was a lot of fun! For as long of a drive as that is Bryell did so well. We stopped about halfway both ways and gave her a little break. On the way home it was a little harder then on the way there but we did survive and Bryell was more then ready to get home and go to sleep in her own crib.

On the trip Bryell really really liked Travis, she went to him even with me sitting right there. It was nice to have both him and Gwen to hand her off to- she pretty much goes to those two and two of Jeff's basketball girls (which is usually a little harder to have her go to them since they are usually playing!) This was my first run of traveling with Bryell without Jeffrey. It was kind of hard! Although I had learned how to put the pack and play together, I didn't remember so Travis had to help with that. Gwen and Travis had to help me load everything up- I'm sure I overpacked! One thing I didn't overpack on was real food. I did not pack her enough real food so she ended up eating lots of what I ate- I tried to order food that she had had before.

Bryell and I are super excited for basketball season to end. We have a double header next weekend then the weekend after that we play Mountain View. The first week of March are regionals- which are in Lyman this year. State follows the second week of March. Then Daddy will be home more and we can have some more relaxing weekends!

This morning when I went to get Bryell up out of her crib I was surprised to see her at the end of her crib on her knees trying to pull herself up into a standing position. I can't believe it but it is time to move her mattress all the way down! We will do that before her next nap.

Another new thing is that Bryell has began to give us "kisses." Really its her slobbering all over our faces but it is super cute! She now says 'Dada' and 'Mama' pretty consistently. It usually isn't to either of us consistently, but will be before we know it!

Into the Pantry

I was out in the kitchen getting dinner ready yesterday. Bryell had a few toys and was playing on the ground...or so I thought... I turn around and my child is leaning inside the pantry pulling out granola bars and throwing them everywhere! She is such an inquisitive little girl! I learn new things to baby proof everyday!

Rockin' and Rollin'

That is how we describe Bryell now. She is everywhere and in everything! We can't put things out of her reach anymore because nothing is out of her reach! She is crawling all over. She now follows us when we leave the room, she usually doesn't catch up to us, but she sure tries. As she is learning to crawl, she is becoming more and more adventurous. She is trying so hard to pull herself up onto things. She succeeds going to her knees but can't get to her feet yet.

This weekend I went to Heidi and Jared's house. Heather was there with her daughter Bailey (7 months) and Noelle was there with her baby (10 months). It was so interesting to see their different stages of development. Bryell played her shy self for awhile. She wouldn't let me sit her down and when she finally did, I had to sit right next to her. It was quite funny though, Bailey was trying to talk to Bryell and apparently was too loud for Bryell because when she would talk to her, Bryell would start crying. Very cute!! When we started the movie, Bryell finally opened up and was playing and talking. Bryell and Seren just stole each other's toys. Neither seemed to mind (give that a few months and it won't be like that anymore!).
