Thoughts

So I have had some time to ponder. Ponder about lots of different things, but mostly about being a mom. Wow, I never realized what a BIG job it was! Of course I knew it would be hard and very rewarding but just staring at my little girl makes me love her more and more. I love watching her grow and change but yet I am sad. Bryell now wraps her arms around us when we pick her up. She laughs and giggles and does her cute little cooing. It is so fun to watch. When she gets changed, she lays on her changing mat flailing her legs and laughing. Even though it makes her diaper that much harder to change, I love to know that she is happy and having fun. She now finds us from across the room and follows us as we walk around the room. I love when I go to get her after a nap and am greeted with a great big smile. I love that she knows I am her mommy.
I look back and I can't believe that it has been three months since she was born. This time has went by so quickly and it just helps me realize that I need to slow down and give her more time because the time is precious and before I know it, I won't have any left. I love you Bryell.

2 Month Checkup

Well, last Thursday Bryell had her 2 month wellness visit (even though she was 2 and a half months). She weighed in at 11 pounds and 1 half ounce and was 23 inches long. She was happy and smiley and loving the visit--until the shots. Ugh, the shots. I have never seen her cry that badly and for that long. I made Jeffrey hold her and I sat in the background. I have to admit- I had about as many tears as Bryell did. When they were done Jeffrey held her and she just nuzzled up to him and cried herself to sleep. Bryell came home and slept the rest of the day and the whole night! That crying must have worn her out.

As for other new news.

Jeffrey went to help a friend last week lay sod and they had extra so sold some to us at a super cheap prize. It only covers about a third of our backyard, but its that much more then what we had so we are excited! Not sure if it will stick yet, but it was worth a try.

We went up to Salt Lake City for our anniversary. It was a nice getaway. We went and visited our friends Kyle and Heather who just recently had a baby. It was so fun to see them and their daughter Bailey is an absolute doll.

We went up to Rock Springs this weekend to meet up with Dwayne, Jacquie, and John to watch Bethany's softball game. She is an amazing pitcher and it was great to see everyone.

Jeffrey has been crazy busy since we got back. We took a trip to Home Depot and bought some plywood to close in our garage. We got home and he got busy putting that up and is now finishing the bathroom! I am pretty excited! He put up the rest of the tile and fixed the grout in the shower that cracked. Unfortunately we have to wait three days for the grout to dry so its nothing but baths for awhile.

We have hung out with Heidi and Jared a few times the past few weeks. Its so much easier to have time during the summer! The annual 24th of July softball tournament is coming up so we went and had a mini practice. This is always such a fun time of year.

Also, I haven't announced this yet on my blog so I suppose its time! The school has worked with me and allowed me to go halftime next year! I will be working two days a week for two quarters and three days a week for two quarters. I am super excited about it. I will have the same classroom and the same grade but will be working with another teacher. She is a really fun girl and did my maternity leave. She is such a great person and I am pretty excited to work with her.

Here are some pictures of Bryell at 11 weeks.
