Well last weekend, we didn't do much. It was snowing outside all weekend so we were pretty much stuck inside. This week was a bit eventful. Bryell got sick on Wednesday. She had a low grade fever all day so I didn't think too much of it. We went to a retirement party and when we got home, Bryell was BRIGHT RED. We took her temperature with the temporal thermometer- it said 105.7. We tried again- it said 106.3. Jeffrey tested it on his head-it said 98.3. We ran and got another thermometer. This one said 103.7. We were pretty stressed. I called our school nurse and she told me that we needed to take Bryell in. She had been coughing at night for about a week so our nurse said the fever and the coughing could mean something, so take her in. We headed to the ER in Kemmerer. When we got there, they were PACKED. They had just admitted six people in the last 10 minutes. We weren't exactly high on their list (Bryell's temperature had gone down), so we were placed in a recovery room. The nurses were in and out making sure we were okay. We did not see the doctor for TWO HOURS. He came in, checked on her a bit and decided it was allergies. Both Jeffrey and I were caught a bit offguard by this, but took the prescription and went home. I was talking with my mom about this and she said that there is a lady in her building who was told the same thing and every time her son's allergies flare up, he gets a fever, she said its rare, but it does happen. We started her on the medicine last night. Of course, I'm crazy enough to believe that its made a difference already! :)
This week was also the First Grade Field Trip. We went to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden and had a blast! We plan on taking Bryell there this summer.
This weekend is graduation weekend. We plan on going to receptions this afternoon. We want to go into Utah either tomorrow or Monday. This is my last weekend at home for a little bit. I fly out to Omaha next Saturday and stay a week for my college class then will fly back the following Saturday, only to start summer school on Monday! We end summer school with Jeffrey taking off to a basketball camp.
I will post pictures soon!

Outdoors!
We took Bryell outside this weekend. We sat in our grass in the backyard. Bryell played on the grass for a few minutes then decided she needed to crawl off the grass onto the dirt. We would put her back on the grass and she would take off again. So we decided to put her in the sandbox. She LOVED it! She sat there digging holes in it and throwing it. We covered her legs with it and instead of lifting her leg, she would uncover it a handful at a time. Sunday we went for a super long walk- Bryell likes the outdoors a lot. I opened the front door just to see what it was like outside and she took off across the room to the door and crawled outside. We played out front on her new toy and then she crawled around the front yard awhile. I am loving this gorgeous weather! I'm ready for it to be here to stay!
Bryell knows how to shake her head no now. She was laying between us and we were asking her for kisses. She would lean in and of course slobber on us. We kept taking turns doing that then she apparently got tired of it. I asked her for a kiss and she shook her head no and went on playing with her doll!
Also, this is a normal day trying to shower. She really likes the water and wants to crawl in whether its her turn or not.

Our new daycare has been amazing. Bryell seems to love it there! She has a blog to tell the parents what their kids do all day! I put it on the links on the right side of our blog- check it out, its pretty exciting!

Another Birthday!
Since my parents got snowed out for Bryell's party, they just sent her presents. I kept telling them to wait because I was going to be in town the first weekend in June. I changed my mind so they sent them out. We got them yesterday. Bryell opened them all and loved them! One of the gifts was a baby stroller. We put her baby in the stroller and had her walking around the living room. She stopped, went around to the front of it, threw out the baby, and tried to crawl in! It was hilarious! She didn't want anything in her stroller except her.

My mom had made some awesome cookies for the party so some of those were also sent.

Becoming Independent...
Bryell has begun trying to feed herself. She absolutely loves it! We will try and help her and she has no interest in us helping her, she wants to do it herself. And so it begins....

Her top two teeth have poked through, FINALLY! The poor thing has two more about ready to poke through on the bottom. Nights are miserable for her but she seems to be pretty good during the day. Its sad because all of our tylenol was on the recall so we don't have any tylenol for her. Luckily, we did have a bottle of motrin that wasn't recalled. So we have been using motrin and teething tablets. We haven't used any orajel yet, our doctor didn't have many good things to say about it, but with this recall, we may give in!! It would be nice to have it go directly on the pain.
We put her swingset together this weekend and went out and played with it. She was a bit hesitant at first but after she learned what she was doing, she really liked it!

It was nice enough outside that we loaded Bryell up in her wagon and and went for a walk. She absolutely loves walks and had a blast in her wagon!

Bryell has a little rocking chair and she climbs in and out of it all on her own. We are trying to make so she doesn't get in the rocking chair and stand up, but that has been a little bit more difficult. She climbs up and turns around with a big smile on her face- she is so proud! :)

Doctor's Appointment
We went in for Bryell's one year appointment. We learned that she is very tall and very skinny! She weighed 17 pounds 14 ounces and was 31 inches long! She was in the 90th percentile for height and like the fifth for weight! The doctor said she is growing and developing amazingly well. He also told us that she is not just getting two teeth but FOUR right now! Poor thing :( I am not a fan of teething at all.
Today when we went to pick her up from Lindsay's she really did not want to leave, she kept trying to go back on the ground and crawl off to play. It was pretty cute to watch and I like knowing that she likes it there so much that she wants to stay even when we come to pick her up :)

Learning new things!
Bryell can officially 'color.' She takes the crayon and draws on paper! Of course we have the occasional stick it in her mouth thing, but for the most part she colors with it! Bryell also has discovered dancing! Josh and Kara got her a musical book for her birthday and she will push the buttons to make it play music and then start dancing. Right now its just wave her head from side to side, but she definitely knows she is dancing and loves to push the buttons now. Also, she had her first oreo two nights ago. She had more on her face and pajamas then anywhere else! :)
