The trip to the mountains

Jeffrey had games in Jackson and Pinedale this weekend. One of the other first grade teachers has a daughter on the team and her husband is the boys varsity coach. She was going and invited me to come with her. I readily accepted as a weekend away is always fun and it was fun to get to hang out with her outside of school.
The trip was gorgeous! We saw literally hundreds of elk outside of Star Valley and the snow there was quite high but it was still somewhat warm. Her 7th grade son came with us also and he impresses me so much on how well behaved and polite he is. I enjoyed getting to know him as well.

As for the results--Varsity lost to Jackson and beat Pinedale. Boys did the same.
We ate some good food in Jackson at Bubba's and had some Chinese food in Pinedale which was pretty good.

I am a little past thirty weeks and more uncomfortable then ever! I wake up every hour and ten minutes to the minute to use the bathroom and finding a comfortable spot sitting and standing and laying down is next to impossible. Her kicks are getting harder and harder and starting to urt. Baby has discovered under my ribs and I feel like we are having a battle of authority and she is still in the belly! I try to push her foot out of my rib (gently of course) and she just kicks back! Stubborn already!

Weekend Trip

So this weekend Jeffrey had a game Friday and Saturday. They lost to Powell and beat Cody. They played really well Saturday but on Friday couldn't seem to get a shot to fall. We took off for Nebraska after the game on Saturday. We drove through some really bad weather and crazy roads and decided to stop in Saratoga and visit Josh and Kara and Brecken. We had been driving 25 mph for about a half hour and decided it wasn't worth it so they graciously opened their home to us and let us stay over. When we woke up the next morning, we decided to travel BACK home instead of to Nebraska. Reading the road report it looked like we were just going to be fighting weather until Pine Bluffs and neither of us felt like doing that to turn around the next day and drive home. It worked out okay though because we were supposed to go pick up baby's dresser in Salt Lake by the 20th and weren't really going to be able to go because of basketball. So we went straight to Salt Lake and picked it up. While we were there Jeffrey got very sick and I had to do the driving home- After we stayed a bit longer to see if it would pass. It didn't so we took off- I stress in bad weather and by the time we got home I had such back pain I fell asleep with an ice pack on my neck.

I finally decided to call and get us signed up for birthing classes. I had been calling the hospital we will deliver in but was having no luck so I decided to try Evanston. It worked out that Evanston has classes in the MIDDLE of March working AROUND basketball so Jeffrey can be there also--YAY! Unfortunately, I had really bad service when trying to sign up and am not sure if she heard anything I said so I will call back later this week to clarify. That makes me feel much better, I was getting quite scared and my friends were telling me that the childbirth classes are what helped ease their mind.

We have today off of work for President's Day- I think J will sleep all day- but he really needs it, so I'll let him :)

Time to Update

So, its been awhile since I have updated this thing! Lets see, I went in for the 1 hour glucose test. As much as I had heard, the orange drink wasn't too bad. That is, until I found out I failed it! Yeah, I failed it and had to go take the three hour test. I took this on Tuesday. I decided to just take the morning off because my afternoons are pretty free on Tuesdays. I went in by myself and the drink I had to drink this time was TERRIBLE! I really had to pep talk myself to keep it down so I wouldn't have to drink it again! I found out the results today--I passed! It has kind of made me realize that I need to make sure I am not loading up on such unhealthy things and I have pulled a few things from my diet (poptarts and candy every break that I have!). I also had the normal checkup today. Everything is looking wonderful! I am into the third trimester and so our appointments will start to be every two weeks. But we are holding off one more set of four weeks. Jeffrey has a busy next few weeks and then things die down and we will be able to breathe and go to bed at decent times!

Jeffrey's basketball team is doing really well. His freshman team just beat Mountain View- which was the best team to beat for them! The varsity is starting to work really well together and I think he is really enjoying the high school level.
I have had requests to put on an updated belly pic. As soon as we have a camera located- we will get a picture up. I also owe some baby pics, hopefully I will be able to scan those soon.

I don't think much else is new- Valentine's Day parties tomorrow and then a three day weekend! Basketball games both Friday and Saturday so wish us luck!

The Week's Update

Last week I was quite stressed. Our reading lady was in town observing. I kind of got tore apart last time she was here so I was pretty worried. Of course she was here all week and not in my room until Friday! I survived and even got good reviews! Phew! J had a game against Pinedale on Friday and then Saturday he had NOTHING! Yay! We took off to Salt Lake City and went baby shopping! Its so exciting! We went over to Heidi and Jared's to celebrate Aysha's birthday and Sunday we laid low. We went into church but because of the weather the priest was stuck in Evanston! Jeffrey managed to put the futon together with absolutely no instructions- quite impressive. I may have helped him a little :) I actually put it together by myself last time! Also! Friday, that teacher who had commented on my pregnancy weight came and apologized! It made me very happy and I almost felt bad because I could tell she felt really bad.
Other than that, not too much is new.

Christmas Cards--again

I have now officially posted two blank posts and had to go edit them! I am a little ahead of myself!
We never found the pictures for the Christmas cards but most of the envelopes had stamps on already so those cards are going out and now, almost a month late, we have finished our Christmas cards!! Yay! Next year, we will be a bit more on top of things and not try to get ahold of Kara to order the pictures a week before Christmas! It was strange to realize we were married this year and pretty much HAD to send out Christmas cards :) Next year we will be on top of it!!! Hopefully :P

Story!!

So last Friday I was walking up the hallway at school to my room. One of the teachers called me into her room. I didn't think much about it and walked in. I get in and she grabs a camera. She tells me she has to take a picture of me because her daughter in law is due at the end of this month and I am way bigger then her. Her daughter in law doesn't believe her so she was going to take a picture to prove it! I had NO idea how to react and was caught SO offguard! THEN she proceeds to go on about me making sure we are not having twins because I am so big and easily could be carrying twins! Lets just say I was VERY happy that it was Friday!!!

Life and basketball- or should it be life IS basketball?

Jeffrey had his first overnight trip this past weekend. They went to Cody and Powell. He left Friday bright and early, so I literally did not have him for two FULL days. Friday they played Cody. Cody is fourth ranked in the state and they WON!!! By two. Saturday they played Powell. Powell is ranked number 2 in Wyoming. They lost. J said they played okay, just couldn't hit a shot. This weekend they play number 1 ranked Jackson, what stress!! He is way overworked but I just say that because he is gone far too much!

I spent the weekend at home. I hoped for a nice quiet, don't get out of bed Saturday--but no luck. The good news is our house is somewhat clean now!

Baby is doing good. She is starting to kick much harder and much more. Usually she is just waking up when I am ready to go to bed! I suppose its slow preparation for what will be. We have her room painted and crib set up! Slowly its coming along. I can't believe we are almost 25 weeks! Yay!

I went through the Christmas pictures, there wasn't too much exciting so I didn't post any. Jeffrey did say he would scan baby picture so I'll post those soon!
