Donkey Ball!

Jeffrey played in a donkey ball game for charity. Bryell was already asleep so I didn't get to go, but a friend of ours took pictures for me!

Bryell has learned to point at what she wants. It's pretty cute but unfortunately, usually what she wants is the food I'm eating :) She loves to say "uh-oh" and "daddy." She says "mommy" but not nearly as much as I would like her too! :) Bryell is teething again which has led to numerous sleepless nights. She is working on her top two teeth right now. She is growing so quickly!

Bryell's Birthday Bash!

This weekend we took off to Saratoga to meet up with the family to celebrate Bryell's birthday. Josh, Kara, and Brecken were nice enough to open their house up to all of us and let us have the party at their house! Joel, Annie, and the kids, Craig, Lennie, and PeeWee came down and met us there. My parents got snowed out and I was super saddened about that- but we took lots of pictures!

It was so fun to watch all the cousins play together. Bryell could crawl this time so would try and follow them sometimes. Her and Hailey I think will either be really good friends are not like each other very much :) They were both wanting to play with the same toy and Hailey looked at Bryell, picked up the toy, got up and WALKED away knowing Bryell couldn't follow! Bry just looked at her like "NO FAIR!!" But to be nice, Hailey did bring Bryell a different toy, it was cute!

Bryell does not like to have things on her. When we feed her if we drop anything on her tray she has to dig at it and rub it all over until it is gone. Well of course when she first started eating her cake some dripped on her leg. It was over after that! She wanted to wipe that off her leg, but with a messy hand it just made it worse and worse! She tried to crawl away and crawled right into her cake! She MAYBE took three total bites of her cake :) She had cake all over her legs and diaper but not much on her face~

(some of the pictures are from Kara-thanks Kara!)

Jeffrey's talent!

After the cake, Aunt Kara and Aunt Annie (with help from Brecken and Hailey) cleaned Bryell up!

First Week Back

Bryell went back to Lindsay's last Monday. Monday she was a bit unsure and did cry when we left. Tuesday she was back in routine and got super excited to see Lindsay and reached out to her and gave her a big smile.

We didn't do much last week. We took off on Friday to Ogden to do a quick Costco trip. With it being so beautiful, we decided we wanted to spend Saturday doing yard work. Saturday we got up early, got the yards raked, the sandbox weeded, the yards mowed, fertilized and watered. We had all of that done before 10- we were quite impressed! It got to be pretty windy so I was happy we were done doing yard work. We went to a 'semi-pro' football game. Wyoming Thunder played....I don't remember who, but we went to the game to support a lot of the Valley people. Cassie, Wyatt, and her parents were there so we got to hang out with them also.

Bryell is learning what a kleenex is used for. She will grab one out of the box, blow on it, and then put it back in the box! It is not uncommon for us to go grab a kleenex and it be absolutely soaked from her blowing spit (and occasionally snot) on it. Its pretty cute though. She has also discovered that she loves to try and out crawl us. She has had a thing for crawling into the bathroom and standing up on the toilet to play or the bathtub to check things out. When we see her start to go we will go to chase her and she will take off soooo quickly just laughing!

Bryell loves attention and loves to try and talk louder then you. She is yet to learn the rules of conversation. :) You can tell she is trying to form words and communicate with us and I think sometimes gets frustrated when we can't understand her. She now pretty consistently waves 'bye-bye' when we leave someone and will greet her daddy with a wave when he gets home from work.

Bryell is such a happy little girl. Her naps are starting to get shorter and shorter, but her night's sleep are amazing! Bryell goes to bed about 6:30 and sleeps straight through until 5:30am for a quick feeding then goes back to sleep until 7 when she is ready for her breakfast. Its been so strange for us to be sleeping straight through the nights! What I love is that we will peek in to see if she is still sleeping and she will be in there sitting up just playing on her own. The other night when she was sleeping, Jeff went into her room to set her heater up. About fifteen minutes later I was wondering where he was so went to peak in- Bryell was sitting up playing and Jeff was laying on the floor trying to hide from her seeing him. It was hilarious! But if she would have seen him, she would have been up for another few hours and it was our bedtime!

Spring Break

I apologize for not updating so frequently. I recently started a new college class and it is demanding a lot more time then the ones in the past. I may have to have Jeffrey start updating the blog :)

Over spring break, we went back home. Home as in Nebraska and Lingle. It has been a really long time since we have went there and stayed longer then a very quick weekend. It was such a nice getaway- and relaxing!

Bryell is becoming more and more outspoken about things. At both of our parents house they have landlines and phones that go with them. Bryell was very insistent upon getting the phones if anyone had them. Craig was walking by carrying a banana and immediately Bryell started hollering at him telling him she wanted some. He of course willingly shared :)

At my parents house, they have an old chair that Bryell absolutely LOVED to push around. She could 'walk' with it and definitely felt pretty cool about that.

At Craig and Lennie's, they had the ever so popular firetruck, which Bry spent hours pushing it back and forth across the living room and pushing all of the buttons to make it sing and talk.

Bryell loved my parent's cat. We are pretty lucky that she didn't get bit- he is not a friendly cat and Bryell decided to pull on his ear when she was petting it.

At Joel and Annie's they have a much more kid friendly cat that Bry also adored. She chased it around the living room and trapped it between the her and the door. She grabbed its leg that was just broken and pulled it to her, quite proud of herself. Jeff ran over there trying to save either one! Bryell petted the kitty and laughed and had a lot of fun with her.

We stayed until Wednesday morning in Alliance, my bff was coming to town late Tuesday and I really didn't want to leave with her coming the next day. Her, her husband, and her daughter Mara came over. It was fun to watch Bryell and Mara play together. Their play was mainly Bryell poking Mara in the eye and Mara staring back at her, but it was really cute. It was also super nice to see Robyn. My parents had went to Lincoln over Easter for her baptism. Robyn asked them to be her Godparents and of course they readily agreed and drove down to Lincoln to be there during that amazing time.

While in Lingle, Bryell got her first haircut from Aunt Annie!

We came home Saturday evening and spent Sunday unpacking and cleaning! It was such a nice getaway!

Adaptable

I think that is the best way to describe Bryell. We have had some major babysitting issues this month and Bryell has done wonderfully with them. Poor Lindsay- her family cannot seem to get well! Bryell has been at SIX different places this month! Being that she only went to daycare 13 days this month- that is quite a few! I am so happy that we had so many people willing to help out though so I can't complain too much there. The lady who is going to take her next year stepped in for half of this week. I am pretty excited to have found her. When Lindsay told me she couldn't watch Bryell next year I had no idea what I was going to do. I think Stephani was a Godsend. She watched Bryell twice this week and agreed to be last minute backup for the rest of the year. I hope it works out so Bryell doesn't have to go to so many different places! One thing that has been really fun is that they have all commented on what a fun and loveable baby Bry is (which of course we already knew! :) But I definitely want to thank everyone who did step in and take Bryell for a day or two for us, she really seemed to enjoy every place she went.

Here are some random pictures.
